The drawings contain no coordinates — no northing, no easting, no grid. So the route cannot be read out of them; it is fitted onto real street geometry using the stationing the sheets already carry, anchored by their own station equations. Accuracy is street level, and the engine reports its own drift rather than being asked to trust it.
What this does not give you. Stationing places a feature along the route and says nothing about which side of the street it sits on, so every feature lands on the centreline — a handhole on the north verge and one on the south come out at the same point. That is a limit of the drawings, not of the fit, and it is why the export is a route with features on it rather than an as-built. Side-of-street needs either an offset column on the sheets or a GPS point from the crew, and the capture app already takes the second one.
